Home Care Preferred are recruiting for a Field Care Supervisor / Team Leader. Reporting to the Manager, Team Leaders assist with the day to day operations at our new branch in Exeter

Our clients include people with a wide range of emotional and physical needs mostly with problems associated with old age but including people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental health difficulties.

You will need to be able to drive and preferably have use of a car.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Care Sector, preferably in Domiciliary and Elderly Care.

Duties include:

  • Responsibility for your own portfolio of clients
  • Assessments
  • Observations
  • On call rota
  • Some Care Calls

You will take responsibility for your clients continued well-being, from arranging initial assessments and being first point of call for those clients. You will also be required to arrange and undertake observations on our Care Team, helping them deliver exceptional care to our clients, ensuring their well being and continued best practice, identifying any areas for further training etc. The role is split between being out and about in the Community and office work.

The position requires a high level of resilience and the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. You will share our passion for the care sector and will want our clients to experience an excellent standard of support. This means sharing our values and it is essential that you are passionate about promoting the dignity and aspirations of each client.

You must have a logical approach towards your work and be pragmatic when necessary. You will enjoy a close working relationship with the Care Manager and together with your team you will grow the business and continuously maintain and improve the service. There will be plenty of opportunities to use your initiative and your problem solving skills to manage the day to day service. A calm approach to work is essential combined with a “can do” attitude.

Salary: £20,000.00 to £23,000.00 /year
