How to fund your loved one’s care: free one to one advice clinics
October 25, 2017 4:14 pmAt Home Care Preferred we understand how daunting it can be deciding how to fund yours or a loved ones care (at what is usually an upsetting and stressful time). Deciding the best way to fund support can be extremely confusing and hard to navigate if you don’t know the ‘in’s and out’s’ of the industry, which can often lead to families making ill informed decisions.
To tackle this, we are pleased to announce we will be hosting a series of one to one advice clinics were the public can access expert advice from a professional Independent Financial Adviser who is accredited in the later life advisory sector.
We will be collaborating with SOLLA qualified St James’s Wealth Management Partner Rabeya Islam. Our first advice clinic will be held at our offices in Winchmore Hill on Tuesday 7th November 2017, all conversations had will be on a one to one basis between the client and Rabeya to ensure confidentiality and that the advice given is tailored specifically to your needs.
The bookings will be 30 minute slots, we have three remaining:
1:30pm – 2:00pm
2:30pm – 3:00pm
3:00pm – 3:30pm
The topics that Rabeya is able to cover include:
- Things you need to know when paying for care (included, excluded assets, benefits and concessions)
- How to fund care & ways to ensure money doesn’t ‘run out’
- Recent budget changes & how this may affect funding
- Considering the whole family: Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney & Trusts
