Home Care Preferred Celebrates Good Care Week #WeCare

Good Care Week is upon us and runs from 16th -25th of June. The initiative was launched by Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) and is designed for all care providers, no matter what type of service, to show the public why it is so important to care!

We believe now more than ever the ethos behind Good Care Week is so important, and we are both delighted and proud to be participating in the event this week.

At Home Care Preferred we are privileged to work with kindhearted compassionate people who have dedicated their lives to caring for the vulnerable ensuring they are treated with respect, dignity and enabling them to continue living independently. We thrive on facilitating an environment for our clients that allows them to continue participating in the activities they love safely- promoting a high quality of life.

When asked why they loved their career in care, the response from our Support Assistants was overwhelmingly positive and motivating:

“My role as a Support Assistance is rewarding and challenging at times.  My main objective is to provide care and make my clients comfortable and happy  at all times. Knowledge is power and I am learning  daily from my clients which I really enjoy when i accomplish goals and make my clients smile.” Ms A Marshall 

“The reason I love being a Support Assistant is because I know I am helping others that are unable to do things for themselves and also with me being there it helps the client stay in their own home. I find it very rewarding, and love meeting new people, whether it’s other work colleagues or new clients. Just know I am doing something good makes me feel better about myself. ” Ms A Stephenson-Hill 

Our Support Assistants and Office Team alike cannot be thanked enough for their dedication and passion, so this Good Care Week we want to say a huge THANK YOU!

We had to treat the man who makes it all possible too – Founder & MD Ken Waterhouse (he was also kind enough to put on a spontaneous lunchtime BBQ to celebrate Good Care Week, and the hottest day of the year).
