Macmillan Coffee Morning Success

Friday 30th of September 2016 saw businesses and individuals up and down the country drinking copious amounts of coffee and polishing off multitudes of cake, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.’
Supporting a cause close to our heart, Home Care Preferred revelled in hosting our own Coffee Morning in order to raise funds to support the fantastic work Macmillan nurses do in supporting cancer patients and their families.
We’re pleased to announce the event was a huge success with in excess of 20 people passing through our doors to support the cause, sample the array of sweet treats on offer and help us raise over £120 for the charity.
The energy was fantastic with many different members of the community coming together. Many local businesses attended, along with our local MP Mr David Burrowes & representatives from charities such as Alzheimer’s Research UK. Local Zumba and dance groups attended, chatted and it was truly heart-warming to see people of all age groups interacting together and having a wonderful time and sharing stories and laughs.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the day such a resounding triumph- we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
